"Where there is movement, there is life."
This technique was developed by Tovi Browning, whose book you can find at the end of this article. In many respects, it resembles the Lomi Lomi massage, which also works with the inner water element and works with a soft massage therapy and presence. Let’s take a closer look at it!
During the treatment, you lie on a massage table, and I continuously provide pulsating movements by massaging different parts of your body. A significant difference compared to other techniques is that you remain comfortably dressed throughout the entire time. The rhythmic movement of the body follows the fundamental principle that where there is life, there is movement. This pulsating movement continuously reinforces the possibility of life within us.
The speed of the massage mimics the rhythm of a fetal heartbeat. The continuous pulsating movement helps open the bronchi on a physical level, improving the oxygen supply to the lungs and all body cells. It supports the proper mobility of the vertebrae in the spine, and it also improves restricted movement and alleviates stiffness.
Everything that is alive inherently has the ability to pulsate, shorten and lengthen, stretch and contract – the rocking movement reminds the tissues of this primal ability. We instinctively rock infants and children to soothe them or even ourselves when we are tormented by physical or emotional pain.
On an emotional level, the massage opens our hearts, awakening our inner potential. The touches are enveloped in love, care, and warmth, similarly to the way were surrounded by our heartbeat in the womb. Safety itself embraces us, allowing us to experience the joy of life. It also gently urges our soul to fill our whole body.
The smaller movements touch the deeper layers of our being, connecting our separate parts and restoring our sense of unity, linking us to our completeness. The body continually receives the message that it is whole. The gentle rocking and pulsating movement of the whole body softly stirs our inner river, along with the logs that block the way.
Water teaches us about true strength – that it also has softness and gentle presence. This quality helps us bend without breaking. There is no intrusion at all. Only the gentleness of complete acceptance exists, because where great effort creates resistance, gentleness can find a way and achieve the greatest wonders.
Here, there is no struggle for happiness – with gentleness and ease, we have everything we desire.
I’m looking forward to welcoming you if you want to experience this safety and tenderness, arriving "in the dense, dark silence of matter."
